There are shops, bars and restaurants nearby and the bustling market town of Sulmona about 5 km from Introdacqua. There are ski resorts in the nearby village of Roccaraso (20 km). It takes half an hour to reach the Adriatic coast. The Rome-Pescara motorway is 5 km from the house giving easy access to both Pescara and Rome airports (about 1.5 hour drive to Rome). ((

Abruzzo has thousand castles, some perilously perched on cliff edges, others forming the heart of a settlement. The beaches of Pescara are within easy reach and there are lakes nearby. Sulmona is world famous for its production of sweets and has a great market. There are many villages and towns with fascinating local customs and delicacies, churches and museums to visit. There are particular sites as a waterfall at San Venanzio gullies. Interesting local products: are pottery, lace, jewelry and honey.
